Virtual St. Patrick's Day Parade for Collinstown Action Group
Collinstown Action Group would like your support for our Virtual Parade. (I've heard enough - you guys are great! where can I donate?)
Why?
Your Action Group works for the development of Collinstown Village and the surrounding areas. We run the Collinstown Little Free Library and collinstown.ie website. Recently we have contributed €1,000 towards the new footpath from the village to the pitch and worked with Lough Lene Gaels on the initial plan to organise this project. We have secured Town and Village funding from Westmeath County Council, which will shortly see works commence in the village to make Collinstown an Age Friendly village. In the past 12 months we have also planted mini Orchards all around the village, created a fairy garden in the village and upgraded the Little Free Library. In previous years we have worked on environmental, sustainable, cultural and heritage projects.
With your support we will continue to work on implementing the Village Action Plan and working on our projects, and projects with all the other groups in the village.
What's happening - how do I get involved?
We are holding a Virtual Parade for St. Patrick's Day and would like to encourage everyone to get involved. Get dressed up in your green white and gold, bring your flags or bunting and get out and about within your 5k! Then donate here to our Virtual Parade fundraiser. Share your photos on social media with #VirtualParadeCollinstown and tag @CollinstownActionGroup.
Get out walking in some of our local beauty spots or relax in the village taking pictures for our virtual parade. It is a great opportunity to showcase some great artwork too - maybe the kids would like to do some St. Patrick's Day art to be included in the Virtual Parade. We have some St. Patrick's Day colouring pages in the little library.
Post your photos on Instagram with the #VirtualParadeCollinstown and tag @collinstownactiongroup or for Facebook send the pictures on the Collinstown Action Group page. We will post the pictures we can see on our website.
