Sunrise for Climate - Dip or Sit at Lough Lene

Collinstown Action Group invite you to join us for our "Dip or Sit at Lough Lene" on Saturday 21st September at 7am.  We are answering the Friends of the Earth call to organise a Sunrise for Climate gathering the day after the Global Climate Strike. The aim is to give communities all across Ireland the opportunity to get together to get up at sunrise and gather somewhere beautiful - and our Lough Lene certainly fits this description.

Show your support for the Global Climate Strike and the school strikers leading the way in organising the #ClimateStrike.

We are organising our event "Dip or Sit at Lough Lene" to give everyone in the Collinstown, Fore, Castlepollard area and beyond somewhere to go to just be, and to feel that they are supporting the school strikers and the climate action cause.  Swim if you want - don't if you don't want to.  This is just a nice community gathering for a cause - it is not a meeting, there is no agenda other than to soak in the beauty of Lough Lene on what will hopefully be a dry, clear morning.

Please note that no lifeguards will be at the event and all swimmers swim at their own risk.
