This weekend is my last weekend to celebrate the Sunday Masses as Parish Priest of Collinstown + Fore. I thank everyone for your support, encouragement and friendship over the last nine years. I thank the various committees over those nine years who have worked hard and shared their giftedness with the parish community.
I thank the Franciscans in Multyfarnham for their help and support in the first years I was here. I thank the priests in Mullingar Parish for their support and encouragement – Fr Padraig, Fr Paul and Fr Derek. Also to Rev Alastair Graham for his support and inspiration.
Thanks to Bishop Michael for appointing me as Parish Priest to this parish and to Bishop Tom for his support and encouragement since he became Bishop of Meath..I wish Fr Martin Carley every happiness and success as he begins a new chapter in his life in this parish. I know he will have your support and encouragement and that in time you will see him as a friend and not just a pastor.
As I take up my appointment next weekend in the Parish of Enfield I ask for your prayers for the time ahead as I settle in and slowly get to know the people and the geography of the new parish. I will remember you all in my prayers.
Wishing you all every grace and blessing
Patrick
