Lough Lene Gaels - New Footpath to The Park

Great news today. Our new footpath is taking shape. You will soon be able to walk safely from the village, do lap(s) of the Park and back again. Many thanks to Westmeath Co Council and their Community Involvement Scheme. Grateful thanks also to Collinstown Action Group, Collinstown Tidy Towns, Collinstown Pitch and Putt and Lough Lene Gaels Camogie Club, all of whom supported us and contributed to the 15% contribution which facilitated our application and made the project happen.

We look forward to full completion of the project in the New Year with lighting and other safety measures and to the completion of our own walking facilities which will forever now be linked to the village.
