Covid 19 update and Lough Lene Angling

Update on re-opening of the lake ... The Chairman has received advice from the Eastern fisheries board that the lake will remain closed until 8th of June for ALL anglers regardless of distance to the lake.

Please DO NOT enter the farms of Tom Fagan and Mr.Gilsenan until this date ...gates are padlocked and you will be turned back as were 3 boats today.

We also have reports of anglers from much much farther than the original 5km limit on the lake today ...please desist. We’re on the home straight now please don’t ruin it for all. (Gardaí have been notified of breaches in the past few weeks and will be again.)
