A Great Year for Collinstown Parent, Toddler and Baby Group
We had our final session of the year in Collinstown Hall today. Thank you to everyone who made the year so great. We moved to Collinstown Hall in December and this has given us great space. The big kids can run around and the babies can play safely on the mat. Thank you to the Hall Committee for your support. Thanks to Lough Lene Gaels who looked after us from September till December and for the previous few years. It is great to know that our group has support from so many key community groups.
Thank you to Gary Baker from Westmeath Gymboree, Jess from MudBugs, Dogstrust, Catherine Weir parenting mentor and Mollie Moos for the great sessions you provided for us.
Best of luck to everyone in the group who is returning to work and who's little ones are moving on up to Montessori and Play School - you are always welcome back to us for a chat on a Monday if the opportunity arises.
It was great to welcome so many familiar and new faces this year and it is lovely to see friendships bring formed. I would encourage everyone in the group to stay in contact over the summer. Maybe meet at the lake for a dip, at Tullynally or Nellie to Nancy for a walk or the new Collinstown playground where the kids can burn off some energy.
We will be back in September and would love to see everyone who is in the area and at home with a baby or toddler come and join us. We will have an interesting September. We have Gymboree booked and have decided to discuss what we, as a group, can do to reduce plastic use... looks like we are joining Collinstown's One Small Change. In the meantime we look forward to a great summer.
Thank you,
Mary Duffy (chairperson)
